Appointment of Mr. Agil Natt as CEO of INCEIF

Bank Negara Malaysia wishes to announce the appointment of Encik Agil Natt as the Chief Executive Officer of INCEIF with effect from 1 July 2006. Encik Agil Natt has vast experience in the financial services industry and has had a distinguished career in the sector. He will be important in positioning INCEIF as a leading global centre of excellence for education in Islamic finance. INCEIF was established by Bank Negara Malaysia in December 2005 to contribute towards the global development of human capital, talents and professionals that is required to support the future growth and development of the global Islamic financial industry.

Encik Agil Natt has held several senior positions in areas of investment banking and corporate finance in his long career in the financial services industry. Prior to joining INCEIF, Encik Agil Natt was the Executive Director and Deputy President of Malayan Banking Bhd. He has also held several positions in the Maybank group including Chief Executive Officer and Director of Aseambankers Malaysia Bhd and Head of Investment Banking Group in Maybank. From 1990 to 1995, Encik Agil was the Regional Chief Representative of Kleinwort Benson Ltd.

Encik Agil Natt secured a Bachelor of Science Economics (Honours) degree from Brunel University, United Kingdom and Master of Science in Finance from the City University, London. He has also participated in the Advanced Management Programme of the Harvard Business School in the United States of America.
