The regulators of the Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC) initiative - Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia, would like to alert members of the public regarding the misuse of the MIFC initiative's name and logo; as well as the regulators' names, corporate logos and Senior Officers' names and positions in illegal schemes or fraudulent activities.

The illegal schemes or fraudulent activities may be promoted through emails, letters, phone calls or other forms of communication. Members of the public are advised to be cautious if they receive any such request for financial or personal information, or to seek investments or contributions, and are strongly advised not to respond to such requests.

The MIFC regulators take a serious view on such illegal schemes or fraudulent activities. Necessary actions will be taken by the MIFC regulators against any individuals or corporations who misuse the names and logos of the MIFC, its member regulators, as well as the names and positions of its Senior Officers to mislead the public.
