ABOUT THE FORUM

In conjunction with the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) Annual Meetings and Seminars 2007, Bank Negara Malaysia will host the Global Islamic Finance Forum (GIFF) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 26 to 29 March 2007. A series of premier events is being organised, namely:

• The Investors and Issuers Forum from 27 to 28 March 2007;
• The Financial Regulators Forum in Islamic Finance from 26 to 29 March 2007; and
• The Banking and Financial Law School 2007 on 27 March 2007.

A major highlight of the GIFF will be the keynote address by the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, with insights on the policy direction and strategies of Malaysia, particularly in terms of measures to enhance the country’s position as an Islamic financial centre.
