ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for the Public and Community Relations and Managing special events for the Museum. Providing customer relations for all visitors and the media.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Handling the Public and community relations including media.
-
To liaise with the Marketing/Creative and Visitor Experience Supervisors in handling main responsibilities.

To ensure the good relations and remarkable communication with visitors and the media by maintaining a positive image for the museum.

Develop and carry out communication strategies programs which would help the museum maintain a leading position.

Work closely with the media and produce presentations and press releases, organising promotional events such as press conferences, analysing media coverage as well as reputation management for the museum.
- Able to work as part of a team and use first class interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships across departments and the public.
KEY CHALLENGES:
- Good understanding of issues relating to the developments in the community relations area.
- Able to identify the potential problems and issues arising from the museum’s visitors or internal museum’s staff that may affect the reputation of the museum.
- Able to identify risk mitigation and crisis resolution measures to minimise potential impact on the museum
Academic qualification:
- A recognized Master's / Bachelor's Degree (at least a 2nd Class Upper / CGPA 3.00) or a professional qualification in Mass Communications, Business, Humanities or other relevant disciplines.
- Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English at SPM/SPMV level.
Experience:
Other Requirement:
- Exceptional writing and communication skills and abilities.
- Good organisational skills, enthusiasm, flexibility and initiative.
- Proficiency in other language such as Mandarin is a must and ability to speak any foreign language is an advantageous
A Malaysian citizen, aged 35 years and below.
