Bank Negara Malaysia and the National Cards Group (NCG) will be organising a Payment System Forum and Exhibition 2014 on 27 November 2014 at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur. The theme of this year's forum is "Migration to E-payments: Payment Cards Acceptance".

The forum aims to build awareness and promote the acceptance of payment cards among businesses in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and microenterprises.

The forum will provide the latest development on payment card acceptance in Malaysia, which covers amongst others, the topics on payment card acceptance infrastructure, the future of debit card, business case for accepting payment cards, card fraud mitigation measures and security, as well as innovations in payment cards.

Distinguished speakers from the payment card industry will be sharing their insights and discussing recent development on payment card in this forum. Businesses who wish to accept payment cards and know more about card acceptance are invited to attend the forum.

An exhibition will also be held on 27 November 2014 from 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in conjunction with the forum where banking institutions, payment card companies and payment card networks will showcase their latest product offering on payment cards, Internet banking and mobile banking services. Members of the public are invited to visit the exhibition to enjoy special offers on payment card acceptance and e-payment packages.

The “Think Online Safety, Think C.A.R.D” campaign jointly organised by the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and the NCG would be having their final session at Sasana Kijang on the event day. Members of the public will have an opportunity to gain better understanding of the security of e-payments and safe practices in conducting online card transactions at the NCG consumer awareness and education programme booths.
