Sale of Previous Issues Commemorative Coins

Effective today, Bank Negara Malaysia announces the sale of the previous issues of commemorative coins, which are still available. The sale to the public will commence from 17 October 2001 to 31 December 2001. After 31 December 2001, these coins will no longer be available for sale to the public, Bank Negara Malaysia will cease to hold them in its stock.
This will be the final opportunity for the public to purchase the commemorative coins which have been issued by Bank Negara Malaysia to mark significant events in Malaysia including the hosting of the SEA Games, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Malaysia and the Kuala Lumpur 100-Year Celebration. The information provided in the list of the commemorative coins that are available for sale include their face value, price and mintage quantity. In view of their limited mintage, the commemorative coins would be a valuable addition to the coin collection of numismatists.
Members of the public can purchase these commemorative coins directly from Bank Negara Malaysia Head Office, Jalan Dato' Onn, Kuala Lumpur and its branches at the following locations:
These coins can also be purchased by placement of orders through any Maybank Berhad, RHB Bank Berhad and Public Bank Berhad branches nationwide. Orders can be collected within 7 working days.
